White shoes always have their own appeal to both men and women. However, they are prone to yellowing of the soles after a period of use. Don't worry too much! Let's find out with Celidior 5 detailed ways to whiten yellowed shoe soles right in this article.

Removing stains from shoe soles is not too difficult, you just need to prepare familiar products such as baking soda, detergent (washing powder, dishwashing liquid)...

Now let’s get to the main point: There are 5 methods to whiten shoe soles. Refer to the sections below to find the method that best suits you.

METHOD 1: Remove stains from shoe soles with Baking soda and Hydrogen peroxide

Baking soda is considered a multi-purpose ingredient, which can be used to clean shoe soles. This method not only removes stains but also makes the shoe soles look brighter and cleaner.

  • First, mix baking soda with hydrogen peroxide until it thickens;
  • Use a toothbrush to scrub the entire surface of the yellowed sole;
  • Cover the shoe sole with plastic wrap (if available) for better results;
  • Place shoes in direct sunlight for 2-4 hours;
  • Rinse off remaining solution and check results.
  • If they still don't work, try the above methods again.

METHOD 2: Remove yellow stains from shoe soles with fresh lemon

Lemon contains moderate acid content so it can both clean dirt and remove old stains.

  • Prepare lemon, clean water, soft towel. Cut the lemon in half and rub half of the lemon gently on the sole of the shoe.
  • Wait about 15 minutes then use a clean soft cloth soaked in filtered water to wipe the shoe sole again.
  • Store shoes in a cool, dry place.

In addition to the above method, you can also squeeze lemon juice. Then dip the toothbrush into the lemon juice and rub it on the sole of the shoe.

METHOD 3: Brush toothpaste on the sole surface to remove yellow stains

In addition to its main uses of cleaning the mouth and whitening teeth, toothpaste is also commonly used to clean stains on shoes, especially stained shoe soles.

  • Use a little toothpaste and salt to rub on the sole surface;
  • Add a little water to create foam, leave for about 2 minutes;
  • Use a damp cloth to wipe the sole surface thoroughly;
  • If it still remains you should repeat this step several times.

METHOD 4: Remove stains from the sole with a washing machine and vinegar

Note: This method is a bit risky and can damage your shoes, so consider before choosing or your shoes are too worn out. It is recommended not to use this method.

  • Mix dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent in a 1:1 ratio;
  • Dip the brush into the above solution;
  • Rub vigorously into the soles of the shoes, especially the stained areas;
  • Then rinse with clean water;
  • Repeat the above process until desired results are achieved.
